The problem with poor coverage on golf courses
Many golf courses, especially par-3 holes far from the clubhouse, have poor or no mobile coverage. This has traditionally made digital systems unreliable in the field: the spinner kept running, the submission failed, and the player was left frustrated at the hole.
What is offline support?
Offline support means that the CTTP Golf app saves the player's submission locally on their phone if there's no internet connection at the moment they press send. The submission waits quietly and uploads automatically as soon as the phone finds a connection again.
When does offline mode activate?
Offline mode activates automatically when CTTP Golf detects no connection. The player doesn't need to do anything active; the system switches to offline mode on its own and shows a discreet indication.
When the connection is restored, either when the player leaves the hole and moves toward the clubhouse, or when the course generally has better coverage, all pending submissions sync at once.
Benefits for the golf club
- →Eliminates frustration when submitting on holes with poor coverage
- →Ensures all distances are recorded correctly, no missing results
- →Gives players confidence in the system, even in difficult terrain
- →Requires no extra setup, activates automatically

Conclusion
Offline support in CTTP Golf ensures that poor mobile coverage never gets in the way of a good Closest to the Pin competition. The system handles everything automatically, so both players and the club can focus on the game.
