Closest to the Pin in every language
With version 9.6, each Closest to the Pin tournament can run in its own language, independent of the club's default settings. Players see the scan page, distance entry and leaderboard in the chosen language for that specific tournament.
Supported languages include:
The club's primary language stays the same
Only the specific tournament runs in a different language. Everything else: the club website, admin panel and communications: stays exactly as the club has set it. The flexibility sits in the individual tournament, not the whole system.
When is multi-language useful?
- →International guest weeks: German, Swedish and Norwegian golf tourists play Closest to the Pin in their own language
- →Team matches across borders: All participants understand the scan page without confusion
- →GolfWeek Amateur Tour and similar international series: The tournament runs consistently regardless of participant mix
- →Border region clubs: Multilingual member bases get a better experience
Better distance entry on mobile
A seemingly small improvement with big practical value: When players enter a distance on their phone, a numeric keypad now appears automatically instead of a standard text keyboard.
This removes the annoying extra step of manually switching keyboards and significantly reduces entry errors. The effect is especially noticeable on tournament days with many players in a short time.
Professional branding on the scan page
The club's logo now displays consistently and correctly on the scan page, whether or not a tournament is active. This ensures that everyone scanning the QR code meets the club's visual identity, not a generic page.
It's a detail that strengthens the experience and makes it easier to use CTTP Golf as an integrated part of the club's brand.
